Research Interest
I am interested in viral research on RSV and influenza (human, swine, and avian) universal vaccine development, targeting metastable viral fusion glycoproteins using virus-like particle (VLP) platforms and viral vectored vaccines generated through reverse genetics. My viral research focuses on viral vaccine development and host鈥搗irus interactions, with an emphasis on vaccine evaluation in small animal models, and on viral antigen epitope design to screen therapeutic monoclonal antibodies for viral infectious diseases, including Varicella zoster virus, JC virus, and norovirus, utilizing phage display technologies.
More recently, my work has expanded to the development of Bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BHV-1) virus vectored and pseudorabies virus vectored vaccines presenting multiple antigens for the prevention of viral infectious diseases in cattle.
