LSU AgCenter鈥檚 digital agriculture team is using such emerging technologies as drones, satellite imagery, and artificial intelligence to help inform Louisiana sugarcane farmers and others on how to grow more and better food and fiber.

鈥淯sing these AI and machine learning techniques, we can speed up the research process compared to traditional experimentation that can take decades,鈥� said Luciano Shiratsuchi, associate professor in the LSU School of Plant, Environmental & Soil Sciences.
