Children鈥檚 Bookshelf
In memory of Paula Dillemuth
Hilltop鈥檚 Children鈥檚 Bookshelf provides a reading opportunity for kids visiting the Arboretum.
Help us expand our library of children鈥檚 books about trees, nature, plants, animals,
bugs, gardening, ponds and woods, and all things Hilltop! If you would like to donate
a book to the new children鈥檚 library, check out the titles in the suggested Book List
in the sidebar. The books stay on a designated Children鈥檚 Bookshelf in the Hilltop
Gift Shop and are available to the public for reading anytime the office and gift
shop are open.
A specially designed bookplate will identify each book as belonging to the Hilltop Children鈥檚 Bookshelf, in memory of Paula Dillemuth. Paula was Hilltop鈥檚 Administrative Assistant and started the Hilltop Summer Academy.
Hilltop friend Randy Harelson put together a book list with suggestions by longtime kindergarten teacher Margo Eglin and LSU children鈥檚 literature instructor Ann Trousdale.
