LSU Continues Proud Memorial Day Tradition of Honoring Service and Sacrifice

LSU has a long-standing tradition of honoring the military service and sacrifice of its community members who gave their lives for the nation.

Each year, the university joins with the to pay tribute to the courage, dedication, and ultimate sacrifice of former students, faculty, and staff who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
This year鈥檚 Memorial Day Ceremony took place on Friday, May 30 鈥 traditional Memorial Day 鈥 at noon on the Parade Ground at the LSU War Memorial. The 鈥淐eremony in Silence鈥 included a solemn wreath-laying and the playing of 鈥淭aps.鈥 The public was invited to attend and reflect during the moving tribute.
Cadets of the Ole War Skule is made of up of LSU alumni and others who have served in the armed forces as well as others who support the military and the LSU Corps of Cadets.
The organization strives to foster and perpetuate patriotism, to strengthen a sense of individual allegiance to 星空无限传媒 to promote public awareness of the value of LSU鈥檚 military contributions 鈥 past, present and future.
